hi all i have a 1989 trans am gta 5.7 tpi convertible. you all may remember ive been trying to get the thing going to restore it. i have been working away but im now back to try and get it going. right so ive got no injector pulse. ive put in new icm,distributor,pick up coil, got great spark but no injector puse. all injectors read 16 ohms. good rpm distributor ref signal. good power and grounds. jumped aldi pins engine light flashed code 12. so all i can think of now is the ecm or vats. but as the security light is coming on and going out as it should and the car is cranking im not 100% it is vats. however i still may get the vats removed. but i just thought i would ask what else can stop injector pulse. oil sensor/transmission switch/ ps have checked injector fuses and the one by the battery any help or info would be much appreciated

 

It's not VATS. Vats disables the starter- it wouldn't even crank.

I would say it's time to start tracing some wires. Might want to get a shop manual at this point.

 

thanks for the reply damon thats the problem though what the hell can cause no injector pulse it will run all day by spraying fuel down the throttle body. just need to find out what else can cause no injector pulse
