I have a zz1 crate engine bored to a 355 with afr 180cc head and was wondering if the felpro 1094 would work? My engine is a 1991 and the guy at napa says the gasket will only fit up to 1985 sbc. With my engine being bored over .30 and the gasket is for standard bore 4.100. Any advice would help greatly. Just so you know I am running dished piston so clearance should not be a real issue.

 

Standard bore = 4.000

I hope yours isn't bored .30"; that'd be all the way through the cyl wall and halfway through the water. Let's hope it's the more standard .030".

Those steel-shim gaskets aren't known for long and happy life ANYEHRE BUT an absolutely PERFECT finish on both the block and head deck surfaces. And even then, .... I wouldn't run em. Too much maze, not enough cheeeeeeze.
