Vacuum line???

I found this line and it was split with a hole in it, can someone tell me what this line is for or what it connects? It's the tubing that my thumb is touching

Re: Vacuum line???

If it's that short piece of rubber tubing going from the fitting on the intake to the check valve, it's the vacuum feed to the HVAC and cruise systems. (power supply to car chassis accessories, as opposed to engine parts)
