cam and intake ideas 406sbc
hey guys, been a while since i have been on, anyway trying to get some parts in order for a 400 i have sitting in my basement, fresh bore of 0.040", speedpro pistons and scat rods and crank, stock rod height and stock stroke
specs are
bore 4.165
piston head volume +6.00
stock deck height
head gasket thickness of 0.039
recently picked up a set of world product s/r torquer heads, 76 cc ported and polished, guides and springs to allow .540 of cam lift, 3 angle valve job and bowl porting, also roller rocks for too good of a deal to turn up
also have a holley 750 double pumper carb.
car is a 84 trans am. t-5 for now (hoping to come across a t-56) with 3.73 posi rear end. only thing i need for the engine now is a good cam shaft lifters push rods and intake manifold. any good ideas on what good cam and intake to go with? not looking to build crazy power, going to be used mostly on the street with occasional strip action. thanks for any input

Any performance dual plane will work nice with the cubes, and heads are small so cant really cam up much for rpm. Keep compression in the mid 9's with those heads.
Also recommend longer rods for better rod/stroke ratio. 5.7-6" if you dont already have rods and pistons.
Cam keep it milder, comp xe268 or similar. Lunati has a few nice ones as well around that size. 268-272 advertised duration and 224-227 at .050
