1992 camaro 305 overheating/oil pressure drop.

My 1992 camaro is overheating. I can drive about 5 miles, then my camaro will begin to overheat. Temp rises above 260. Soon after the oil pressure will drop below 10. If no gas is given the oil pressure drops to zero, and the engine begins knocking. When I look at the motor at this point, it seems to be smoking from underneath the block. If it gets too hot, I can hear the coolant reservoir boiling. I have checked for moisture under the oil cap, and water on the dipstick, there is none. If I run it too long the engine smokes horribly, and shuts itself off. Engine is a 305 tbi. Please help!!

Is the wind dam under the car ? - forces air over the radiator when moving ............... electric fan working ? Should kick on around 227...

Is the smoke white ?

I had this problem, at exactly 5.5 miles. Turned out to be a stuck thermostat, which caused a boil over, which caused need to replace head gasket. You may be at that point already.

White smoke is bad - usually a sign of antifreeze hitting the exhaust. Not good.
