Steering column assembly help

I just had to replace the wiper switch in my 82 steering column. I am struggling getting the high/low beam part of it back together. A plastic part fell out when i took the housing off and I did not see how it went in there in the first place. Now I am having trouble figuring out how it goes in there and is able to return. I managed to get it to push and trigger the switch, but I cant get it to go back.

So im doing something wrong. Does anyone have pictures or a good diagram to show how that is all supposed to be connected? The haynes manual is useless here.

Re: Steering column assembly help

I took another look at it and I found that the rod came out of the switch at the base of the column. so this issue got solved.
