Re: why is it so hard to find a 5 speed 92 camaro?

You can't find one because over 90% of new car buyers want an automatic. Some reasons might include:

- daily transportation is just easier in an auto
- wife/daughter might drive it

Conversely, now that third gens are 22 to 32 years old, they are typically out of the daily driving duties and 90% of hobby car buyers prefer a manual transmission.

You will find what you are looking for eventually, it's just that you will not find an arrray of them at any one time in the "for sale" listings. If you want a good one it will take even longer, manual transmission cars tend to live harder lives. They are more likely to be modified and beaten.

Expect to travel to find a good one.

Shipping is cheaper than body work when looking for a good car. As cheap as you can ship a car today I would not let a good car go outside of your current search area just because of location. Invest a little more in your travel budget and expand your search area.

You will find what you are looking for it just takes time and effort!
