MSD6A help ICM failures by bypass?
Just curious I think I am heading down the ICM failure route replacing my 2nd one and 2nd coil for 4 weeks. And I have not even driven the car more then 30 minutes
I am replacing both at same time now and I will check grounding straps and grounds better. I have the small Dizzy 88 iroc
But I saw earlier thread where someone had similiarprobloems on older 85 dizzy and blew like 8 ICM over a few months and finally switched to MSD to elimnate the problem and and it worked?
How is this so? Dos the MSD just take the pickup coil signal into the MSD then from there process the spark and send it to the boot on the ign. coil?
I can see where this by pass the ICM since the MSD usually have the tach pickup. But then does it have a 4 wire input to accept the ECM plug?
