cold kill my car? bc its not starting
ok so here in MI its been freaking cold as hell and now my car (for the like 3rd time) just wont start. the 1st time I got a ride to work came back it started. some time goes by (like weeks time) the car just wont start, even when trying to jump it (ofc batt was full charged) but the starter motor wouldn't even engage, (plus when it was cranking it was slow and tired sounding) so new starter.
week later the alternator start throwing sparks and providing 10 volts... so new alternator.
another week later same thing again, car wont start, motor wont even engage. jump start works just fine, new batt.
but today... no start, jumping wont work. come back home when its warmed up a little, still no start, and jumping wont work.
its a 92 Camaro with the 305 tbi and 5spd. any help or ideas?

ya all grounds intact and soild. (its my understanding if they weren't then nothing would come on, and everything comes on) and as far as I can tell the batt cables are good. and I agree something with the starter or between the start and batt is bad or happening. I forgot to mentain when trying to jump it you could hear the starter thump? but not crank, but only when the extra power was added. so maybe a bad starter?

Bad batt cable. Just went through the same thing with my gmc plow truck. The starter end was corroded. Looked ok from the outside, but had lowered conductivity when I tested it. I actually replaced it with one from a 85 trans am tpi.
It had started ok when mildly cold, but when dropped below 10, just got the starter clunk and no crank. Everything looked fine as well, radio, fan, guages, everything worked, just not getting enough amps to the starter.
May not be the pos, could be the neg as well.

Have you tried jumping it straight to the cables? (no battery connected). I've had this work before when a car wouldn't jump, took the battery out and jumped it straight to the cables and she fired right up.
