fuel tank help
Does anyone know if a 4th gen tank will fit on an '84 z28 with little to no modification? 4th gen tanks are all I can find at the junk yard

Re: fuel tank help
Your fuel guage won't work. The 4th gen uses a different sending unit. There are threads on here that talk about this problem.

98+ has a different sending unit resistance. 90-270 ohm versus the 3rd gen 0-90 ohm reading. You can use the OEM 97 grand Prix sending unit to fix that on later models but their are also plumbing and emissions differences. Pretty sure the 93-97 tank fits other then a slightly longer filler neck. Keep reading. You'll find out all the stuff you need.
