1988 GTA 5.7 TPI. Runs smooth for 15 min then dies. Won't start until it cools down.
I purchased the car a few months ago. It took a tune up to get it running. However, it needed a few more things to get on the road. Fuel pump and filter, altenator, battery. Now, it starts and idles great. I decided to let the car run for awhile before taking it on the road just to make sure I didn't have any overheating issues. After idling for about 10-15 min it dies and doesn't want to start until it cools down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS*

If your lookin for a "this is the most likely part" answer , well then that answer is the ICM (ignition control module) located in the distributor . The "runs great cold , warms up , dies , and won't restart till cold again" problem is a classic failure mode of the ICM .
Be aware , however that if this car has any sort of ECM (Engine control module) being used , IT could also cause such failure as well . Really , ANY transistor equipped device can suffer this failure , but by far the ICM is the most common usual suspect .
If you DO replace the ICM , make sure to pick up a tube of "thermal paste" at Radio Shack and use that under the new module . Make sure to clean the old stuff off of the distributor where the ICM mounts and use only enough of the new stuff to squeeze out about 1/4" from under the tightened down ICM .
PS , although most auto parts stores claim to be able to "test" the ICM , the failure you describe is almost never found during those "tests" , since the test seldom lasts long enough for the ICM to get warm enough to go open circuit .

Or it could be the injectors. You can ohm those, though, to make sure using a multimeter. It's worth doing before spending $50 on a new ICM if it doesn't need it. Senior Member

Fuel pressure is good. However, I had one small Victory over the weekend. I decided to clean my MAF sensor (small wires inside) with rubbing alcohol and a q tip, after that she ran and didn't die! I drove around the block and got back, shut her off and she actually started back up HOT. Great news right? Not really..... I went out today and got a ruff idle and cuff off. Same results after a few attempts so I decided to clean the sensors again and she ran fine. I think my MAF sensor is going bad?
