Incorrect Intake Bolts?
I just finished installing an Edelbrock performer TBI aluminum intake manifold on my 305 and it looks great. I purchased and installed an ARP bolt kit with it and while installing them I noticed that the ARP bolts were a little shorter than my stock ones. I am now wondering if I ordered the correct bolts, ARPs number for the bolts is 134-2001 for sb chevy first gen. Now that I look in ARPs catalouge I see that they offer a set 134-2002 for sb chevy for 305-350 vortec with aluminum intake, the bolts look longer but there are only 8 instead of 12. What am I missing here?
Thanks

Re: Incorrect Intake Bolts?
The Vortec heads have a different bolt pattern then the standard SBC heads. Hence the different length and not as many.
