Remove Oil Pressure Sender and Sending Unit?

Remove Oil Pressure Sender and Sending Unit?
I am currently switching my car over to a speed density set up. My older style harness had connectors for the oil pressure sender and sending unit that go behind the intake manifold. However, the newer speed density harness is set up for the 3 prong sender that goes into the block above the oil filter. Since I now have the newer sender installed down there, do I just remove the old sender and sending unit from the back of the motor and install a plug there?
