fuel tank sending unit questions
I have a free 98 tank and pump. I will be doing lsx swap. I want to use it because its baffled. Now I do have a tank in my car from a 91 or something its baffled but I have a 87 sending unit. If u dont know the problem I'll tell you. The baffled part sits at the back of the tank, but earlier year models SU goes straight down not going to the baffled part. Also I don't think it can suck up the gas from there.
So after reading the 98 tank is out. Now I can get me a later year SU for 90 bucks but will the fuel gauge work to the new SU?

Re: fuel tank sending unit questions
Electrically, GM sending units remained 0-90 ohms until ~early 2000's when they went to a 40-250 ohm style, but I can't say about the mechanical/physical fit of the part.
