I bought a 300 buck 91 Camaro RS V6 with manual gearbox off of Craigslist, and it won't start. The guy I bought it from said that it stopped running one day, and it just sat around for over a year before I got ahold of it. The ECM was out on the carpet, bypassed the VATS system, and would run with starting fluid. I picked up the ECM out of a 91 Firebird V6 with an automatic gearbox and fueling relay, and the thing would misfire like nobody's business. Also, I had to keep pumping the throttle to keep the engine running. The heater valve was bypassed for some reason too.

You are going to have to do a lot more basic testing before someone one here can solve your problem(s )Originally Posted by AussiePr0nCar

Like is the fuel pump running , do you have fuel pressure at the engine for starters ?
Appears a fuel problem if it will run with fuel sprayed in
Might also try pulling the engine fault codes and report back what you find

I'll have to try pulling the fault codes out of the car this weekend or something. I've done all of the following:
-Check fuel pump (works fine)
-Check fuel pressure (45 PSI)
-Change ICM
-Change battery
-Change fuel injectors
-Plug in loose oxygen sensor cable
-Repair broken cables
-Replace wiring harness for fuel injectors
-Re-plumbed some spherical canister that is behind the bumper on the left side of the car.
I keep banging my head because I just can't stand the fact that I haven't figured it out yet.
