Finally got to the true, this is what he just said:
The red wire to the alternator was cut. I hooked it back up to see if the battery would start charging. Drove it around the block and parked. Went to start it again and it would only crank. It wouldn't start. So I got pissed and put it for sale.

Alright bud.
You need very specific things for an engine to run correctly.
Spark (at the right time and enough heat)
Compression
Fuel air mixture (Correct)
but this is basic. There is A LOT of other things that could possibly be wrong and no one on here will be able to help if you cant suck some information out of the guy or test it yourself.
Some simple things that this guy could easily check for are
Spark- take the plug out and turn the engine over
compression-place finger over hole of plug and check NOT ACCURATE AT ALL
fuel- look at the plug after turning it over for remnants of fuel
trouble codes- connect the right pins on the OB1 plug in or read it with a code reader because if it is a sensor on the engine that's inhibiting the starting or running of the engine, it'll kick codes back
make sure all important things are actually connected
Good luck. Give these guys a little more info and they should be able to help you in a few hours time, and easily diagnose the problem.
