sometimes when im driving down the road at 35mph, the car maintains that speed for a long distance without pushing the accelerator. this doesn't seem normal. anyone have an idea what it could be? my car is an 82 but had many 87 parts. its a 5 speed with a 87 5.7 tpi. any help is appreciated. thanks

 

Make sure the throttle isn't bound up by unhooking the cables & feeling for smooth open/closing operation.
