Was the RS suppose to have courtesy lights?

Was the RS suppose to have courtesy lights?
In my 92 RS there are a few places there looked like there should be courtesy lights. There are holes and sockets for small 194 size lights, but there arent any bulbs or wires.
One is just to the right of the fuse box by my left leg. The other is under the dash just above the radio/climate control. Anyone ever see this?
