Hard time starting and
I have a 89' iroc-z 5.0 TPI.
No MIL or CEL are illuminated
Nor codes stored
Cold start, stalls first 2 minutes of operation.
When I go to start my engine, it takes a while to start, in doing so I step on the accelerator pedal and then it fires right up. But then stalls out. When trying to drive, it could go a distance, no stumble while on the accelerator pedal, but when coming to a stop it stalls.
Maybe its not going into closed loop? Throttle plates not opening enough at idle?? Or.. Possible faulty ECT, intake valve deposits.
Recent work before this started happening.
New throttle body
I'm guessing when I installed the new throttle body, messing with the idle may have some sort of play into causing this issue.
Any help would be awesome.
Also what could cause a accelerator cable to stick, no it's not dirty or getting stuck anywhere near the firewall, or at then pedal. I even shorten the cable and it's still getting stuck. But keep in mind this only while KOER.
