I have a 91 camaro rs with a 305 TBI.. about a week ago it started with a high idle, i changed out the TPS..ran great for a day, the next day it was high idle again with stalling then when i would restart it, idled rough with extreme gas smell, checked the TPS, IAC, both fine, replaced coil (needed it anyways) and the EGR (also needed) the EGR helped some but still dies when idling... going to replace the fuel filter tomorrow since its been awhile... could it be my ECM or my ICM?


also forgot to mention, there are no codes showing when i run a scan

 

Fuel pressure regulator could be leaking into the throttle body. Wouldnt hurt to buy a complete rebuild kit.

 

thought so to, so bought the rebuild kit for the Fuel pressure regulator and it helped but didnt solve the problem, so as i was looking around the engine turns out the whole problem was a bad coolant temp sensor... so if anyone else is having this problem check that and the pigtail along with it
