305 tbi exhaust popping
i have a 91 formula with a 305 tbi..whenever i rev the engine and let it "derev"...it has a loud popping out of the exhaust. not sure where to start..already has new dist. cap and rotor...believe the plug wires are fairly new also..not sure about plugs themselves...engine idles fine but it just doesnt sound right..almost diesel-like...any direction where to look is appreciated thanks

My 86 Shadow 500 did the same thing when I ripped the pipes off.
Thought it sounded cool lol.
Maybe you don't have enough backpressure from the exhaust?
