I have an 86 trans am with a 305 tip that I bought a couple of months ago. It had a gm good wrench security system with keypad that I removed and reconnected the starter wire. Now the engine turns over but won't fire, it has fuel in the rails and power to the injectors and plugs but won't fire. I can get it to run as long as I force feed fuel or starter fluid in the throttle body. Can anyone help me with a solution please.

 

Since you can get it to run by manually administering fuel, the ignition system is obviously functioning. I would guess that the injectors are not getting the ground pulses from the ECM. The OEM VATS system did that in later years, and someone may have done the same kind of thing with this alarm installation.
