TALLES ENGINE DECK HEIGHT

Hey guys, i am wondering what the tallest deck height you are able to fit under a stock IROC-Z hood is?
Some examples about what i am talking about include;
9",9.3", etc.

YOUR REPLIES ARE MUCH APPRECIATED

Re: TALLES ENGINE DECK HEIGHT

My BBC uses a 9.8" deck height but I also use a tunnel ram.

With a low profile manifold and a drop base air cleaner, even a basic 454 engine should fit under the hood but a cowl hood is highly recommended.

Thanks for your help Alky it is much appreciated.
Do you mean one of these types.

And what size big block would you be able to fit with one?
Tallest deck height sort of question, with tunnel ram intake and fuel injected.
