I got a 1986 5l 4brl trans am, hasent ran for 10 years starting the proseces.had it running was running verry hot changed thermastat and no it wont start unless im holding gas down and runs verry rough, and will stall as soon as I let gas off.aslos smells verry rich, what did I do or just a couwisadence.

 

Did you rebuild the carb and clean the tank?

 

No. Is that what you think it might be.was hopeing it was something simple I was just missing.might be worth a try though
