Car: 87 Camaro Z/28
Engine: 327 SBC, 495/481 lift, Dem 625cfm
Transmission: B&M TH350 Stage 2
Axle/Gears: 3.90
Will this setup work?
I have a 327 bored .30 over, 495/481 competition cams camshaft and a new street demon 625 cfm carburetor, approx. 365 hp. I was running a stock 700r4 with stock stall, and stock 2.73 gears behind it that was just spinning, wouldn't put the power down, at times it would "go" and then let up like it's guts were just spinning. So I got a summit fathers day special on a new B&M TH350 for $650, got a B&M Holeshot 2500 stall converter. Motive Gear 3.90 performance gears for the rearend. In the shop as we speak. Chomping at the bit to get it back. Will this setup work? Or is it a bust. Whatcha think?

You're not going to like long trips
But Ya, I'd say the stall should help you get into the powerband and the 3.90's should keep you there with your foot to the floor.
Thinking you may be investing in tires quite often
