Question

Ok fellas jus got a 1986 FireBird TransAm, what are the two sensors on the rear of the block on both sides. I knw the sensor in front is the temperature sensor switch for fan, are they both oil pressure sensors ?

Re: Question

Not sure what sensors you're talking about.

There's a knock sensor in the pass side coolant drain hole; at the exact front-to-rear center of the block, just in front of the front end of the starter.

There may be an oil pressure sending unit (not really a "sensor") above the oil filter.

There's a fan switch (again, not really a "sensor") between the #6 & #8 spark plugs in some cars, pass side head; not in the block, but hey...

There's a temp gauge sending unit (yet another "not really a sensor") between the #1 & #3 plugs, same hole as the fan switch except the other head.

Which ones are you talking about?
