Fuel Pump/Prime question

Hey Guys

I've been having some starting issues with my TA. Cold she'll start no problem hot day take her for a drive, shut it off and then try to restart and she won't. Wait a while and then it'll start. It's been anywhere from 5-10 minutes but tonight, I took it over to a friends house and it was almost half an hour. I originally thought It was vats but I've done the by pass on the key and still having issues. This now makes me think It's the starter solenoid due to a heat. I feel like sometimes I still hear the pump come on and prime but can't always tell. My question is will the pump always come on and prime even if the car has been shut down for ten minutes?

Re: Fuel Pump/Prime question

It should,,,IIRC, the pump should power up for a few seconds, after like 10 seconds of the key being off.

I/e drive car...shut it off, wait 10 seconds, turn key on...pump should turn on..
