Car won't start

If anyone can help, please do so. I have 88 GTA with the 350. I have done the fuel filter, the fuel pump, and it is a brand new engine. Only some times when I start the car it will fire up and run for a second, then it dies. Then I try to start it again and it won't fire. If I leave it for about an hour it will start it, and run fine for about a day and then it will do it again. If you have any suggestions please email me at boltman3001@hotmail.com
Thank you.

is the TPI setup from a 350 TPI from a 3rd gen, or a 305 TPI? You'll probably need some new PROM burnings, ESC, knock sensor, and fuel injectors if it's from a 305....

It is from a 350, and now the car will not start period. I am going to check my fuel filter, but like I said it is new.

Sounds ignition related to me. Module, tempermental coil or pick up coil, etc.
