350 Firing on only 4 cyclinders (2 per side)
Hello.
I have finally got my engine back together after replacing upper gaskets and TPS.
I set the no.1 cylinder to TDC (timing mark to '0' after no.1 intake valve has closed and before exhaust valve opens). All plug leads are correct, have double checked this. At first it fires up but dies instantly so I unplugged the tan wire and it fires, runs rough, but only firing on two cylinders per side.
Have tried turning dizzy slightly to see if that affects it but not much difference.
Any ideas where to start? It was firing on all cylinders a few days ago before HG change.
Thanks
Jay

Thought I would post my solution to this for anyone who stumbles across it. Turns out I had tightened valve lash too much which was causing me to lose compression! Re-done valve lashing and it fires up a treat now.
