Consequences of removing the Evap system

Car: 1984 Trans Am Recaro Edition
Engine: 355 L98 Vortec 226/234 custom cam
Transmission: TKO-600
Axle/Gears: On borrowed time...
Consequences of removing the Evap system
Knowing that the Evap system was designed to curb emissions, what consequences can be expected if removed?
1-Assuming keeping the CCC quadrajet
2-ECM chip burn that deletes all emissions associated engine codes.
3-No testing is required
4-Car is driven 1000 miles a year, tops.
Please refrain from the emissions/environmental impact issues, that is obvious. I am more concerned about general driveability and safety (Unwanted hazardous combustion) and how the system can be safely removed.

That's the gas tank's vent.
One way or another, it has to be vented.
What would you replace it with?

I think the carburetor also has a vent... It's that large tube on the air horn that sticks out towards the front...right?
