50" should do the trick. 40" might but maybe not. Since sticks of that stuff come in 10" length increments, you'll be cutting and re-flaring it regardless of what you buy, so just make sure your piece is "long enough". You'll be bending it as well. So you'll need a good tubing bender (can't just reef on it by hand, you'll flatten it), a tubing cutter, and a double-flaring tool. Don't even TRY to do that job without those tools.
Buy acoupla sticks of tubing: odds are, you won't get it quite right the first time; but you can take what you observed and improve on it the second. That stuff is SOOOOPER CHEEEEEEEEEP so it doesn't too much matter anyway.
