Question of tbi to carb swap

What do i need to do to swap my car from a tbi intake to a carb with a 4 brl carbuerator? Aside from intake gasket, intake, and carbuerator? What all needs to be done?

Re: Question of tbi to carb swap

How will the ignition timing be controlled? Since the stall saver routine in the fuel program will no longer be effective, will you be adding a dashpot? Will the EVAP system still be used? Will this be an auto-choke carb?

Re: Question of tbi to carb swap

I posted this to find all of that out. What is a dashpot, what is an evap, and the carb is an electronic choke

Re: Question of tbi to carb swap

Intake, carb, distributor, return style - low pressure regulator and possibly a higher capacity intank fuel pump if its making decent power.

Personally I prefer to have the evap (Evaporative Emission Control System) hooked up. I hate the smell of gas in the garage. It's the lines and equipment that capture the fuel vapors and route them to the engine to be burned off instead of being vented to the atmosphere. A open system can lead to your fuel tank rotting out early.

Quick Question, where do you plumb this into a qjet setup?
