lt1 air temp sensor on my 5.0tpi

Car runs great seems to run smoother and seems to have a little more pep. Has anyone else done this?

Re: lt1 air temp sensor on my 5.0tpi

Back in the old days I used to buy a new/additional MAT (Manifold Air Temp) sensor and screw it into the air filter box, extending the wires up to it. I noticed in scans that the stock location, screwed into underside of the plenum the thing would get viciously heat-soaked especially after a hot shut-down. Like you, I saw maybe a very slight improvement in throttle response (to the point it's possible I was imagining it). Where it seemed to make a difference was at the dragstrip where the car wouldn't run any faster but it was more consistent from run-to-run. FWIW.
