1983 firebird help!!
Okay so today my radio just randomly freaked out. I came home from college shut the car off for an hour or so then turned it on and the radio randomly won't light up and I can't get any stations. All I'm getting is static so its not like it shut off completely. I haven't checked the fuze yet I will tomorrow just seeing if anyone has any idea what's going on. Also my carb is only running on two barrels instead of four and we can't figure out why it won't open to all four so if anyone knows about that please help!!

Re: 1983 firebird help!!
I know it's not running on all four barrels because my girlfriends step father felt it gong slower then it should be and then noticed that something isn't opening right to let it run on all four barrels, and so he plugged up a hose or two in order to show me how much faster it's supposed to go and there was a huge difference in speed. But I can't keep it plugged like that because it'll eat up gas much faster then it already is and so I wanna see if anyone knows what the problem could be

There's nothing about vacuum lines that affects the rear 2 barrels.
As said, fixing vacuum leaks may have helped it out some; but any relation to the other, is purely coincidence, or a matter of the "butt dyno" being recalibrated.
If you're expecting that you can just stand next to the car with the hood open and wing the throttle, and see the back 2 open, it doesn't work that way. They're demand operated and will only open when the engine is under a heavy load.
Sounds like a better program would be to get the vacuum hose diagram for an early LG4, and go over every line to make it back like it's supposed to be, replacing any broken or loose ones along the way. Give the car a tune-up (spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor) at the same time as well.
