Help emergency
Ok so my car quite on me a few day ago and I need it to run now. So the car won't stay running. I can turn it on and it will cut off immediately. If I keep spraying starter fluid in it it will keep running. Now I replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and relay about 3 weeks ago. I just replaced the map sensor and TBI injectors and it's still not running. It's on a 305. Now if I take the o-rings off the injectors it runs, maybe a little rough but it stays running. Please help

Re: Help emergency
Put the O-rings back on the injectors and check for pulse at the injector wiring. Sounds like a VATS problem. Search the TBI forums for similar problems. GL

Re: Help emergency
Def sounds like vats problem,
Two normal vats security options. 1 is it cuts starter 2nd is cuts injector pulse after crank.
There are ways around it, but best to search VATS bypass and it will lead you properly. I had to get a vats module that told the computer it seen the right resistance needed from key to allow car to stay running.

Re: Help emergency
By removing the O-rings, you are spraying gas into the manifold with no control. Basically leaking fuel into the engine. If you turn the ignition on without the engine running, you will be spraying (leaking) fuel into the engine, not good!
