oil pump stud?
Finally ready to put my new oil pump on the engine and realized the bolt isn't in the bag of hardware I got back from the machine shop. I've read about how important the bolt length is and also noticed arp makes studs for them although there's a few different part numbers. Is there a way to figure out which one I need? Fwiw the engine is a 355 with a late 70s early 80s 2 rms block.

Re: oil pump stud?
You have 2 choices for BBC/SBC with an OEM style pump. 6 or 12 point nut.

Re: oil pump stud?
Is the only difference between the 2 one being hex and the other being 12 point? Does it matter assuming both are the same length?
