Re: head id???

How about posting the head casting # rather than the block casting #.

The head # is under the valve covers, in between the rocker studs.

14093638 is the block casting # and it's a 87-93 roller cam, TBI 350. The factory heads for that block is swirl ports heads with any of these head casting #
14102193
14102191
10110810
14101083
14096217

Are you sure yours has the vortec intake pattern? Vortec heads/intake only has 4 bolts per side rather than 6 per side like the non vortec heads

update

I pulled the valve cover and the head casting number is 14102191, from what I can find out they are not a performance head, any input is welcome.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: head id???

Actually they are a VERY high performance head.

They're good for up to about a 23' boat. They'll hold it still in a pretty damn strong gale.

Obviously, not "Vortec" ANYTHING; not bolt pattern, not anything else. TBI
swirlies". Steaming yak plop.

Re: head id???

Yep makes a great door stop. Swirl port crap head. Vortecs (062 or 906 casting) from a 1996-2000 full size truck/suv/van with the L31 350 would be the best bang for the buck
