Hello I have a 88 iroc with 350 TBI. Did the 350 swap some time back an my fuel pump went so I replaced it still have this sputter.
Some times the car stalls when stoped. But starts right back up.
In the video you will see every thing on my cluster be out of wack it needs to be replaced.
Anyways I tried messing with timing new hotter plugs everything. Im lost.
Have a look at the video an maybe you can tell me.
I like to add that it was a cold start.

OK I messed with the timing some now I can drive with out stalling at lights but it still sputters an idle drops some then kicks back up. Kinda like I have a big cam in it .the cam that's in it is just a little bigger the stock. Also at high rpms it will stark knock.

 

It's just an L98 thing. Mine had done that since day one. I ripped it out and threw a 5.3 with a 4L80E and a twin turbo kit. Problem solved. Totally different car. Can't even describe the power. Rip it out

 

I just dropped it in. If I do replace the motor it will be for a 400. Anyways I don't mind the sputter I mind the stalling then its hard to start starts like I have a big *** cam. But it I let it cool for a min it starts right up. Like I said it has no power loss but the spark knock but I think I know what that was.
As you can see in the video the motor runs good no tapping or knocking just the air pumb witch I'm going to pull soon.
I can only work on it on the weekends. So this weekend I'm going to pull the TBI an rebuild it again an clean my injector's.
Also I know there is no vac leak that was the 1st thing I thought an checked.
I just need it to run for a few months then I'm changing to carb.
