Please help with MAF sensor

I've owned the car for 6 months. It came with a bad reman MAF. I replaced it with another reman MAF. Three months later that one went bad too. I told the parts store I didn't want a reman one this time because they all seem to break so they ordered in a new one. Turns out it wasn't new and it was another reman one. I took it because I needed to drive the car and I knew it had a 1 year warranty on it. Now a couple months later it has gone bad again. The only place in Canada that could get me a new one was GM so I have ordered one from them. My question is, do I have an electrical problem that could be causing these MAF's to go bad, or is it simply because they are reman parts?

I'm wiling to spend the $350 from GM just to fix this once and for all but I'm worried that if I have a problem this brand new one will end up fried as well.

Any thoughts are appreciated! Thank you

There was another similar thread to this about failing MAFs. You could have an electrical problem, the voltage regulator or some spiking on the electrical system. Apparently from the other thread some cheaper MAFs are not reliable. To be sure buy a GM, I think they are made by AC Delco, I have used them before and they seem to be just fine.
