My 85 Camaro turns on but won't idle properly and dies if I let off on the gas or brake

I see it's your 1st post so I won't bust your chaps on this but how in the heck are we going to help you if you don't even tell us what you have.

From the factory the '85 camaro came with 5 engine options, and over the course of it's 30 year life could have had just about any engine swapped into it.

Tell us what you have, and more details on what the car is not doing. Maybe even a vid. of the car running.

 

It has a 350 in it and it's automatic

Dude, you got to give us more to work with.

The 350 engine was not factory installed in a '85 camaro so that means it has been swapped in.

There is like 9 million 350 chevy combinations.. We will never guess what yours is.
