Hey guys I know there's alot of this here, but I haven't found one with a similar sympton.
So on my 89, it cranks fine starts up well, but sometimes idles at 2K on startup, and drops down to 1250 minimum during a stop at an intersection. Just interested in possibles of whats up with it. Anything helps, stock 2.8, only things I've done to the motor is a clutch job, replacing the starter, new rotor and plug cables.

Testing voltage on the tps is a great way to start

What should I be testing for the Tps. I can't find any mention of it in my repair manual. So obviously I haven't gotten far. I'm assuming the sensor is right next toish the throttle itself, but what should I be testing and what should the voltage be at that point?
