Fpr install question....

When putting back on the fpr(I pulled it off because the vacuum stem broke off on my adjustable fuel pressure regulator so I put the factory one back on is it possible that the plunger is not sitting right when I tightened it down would that cause anything say like pressure bleed pre just during the priming of the Fuel Pump and if that is not the case then I have something else going on either injectors or Fuel at idle with the vacuum line plugged in it is 42 pounds of pressure and when I unplug it it is 49 pounds of pressure..and she does not bleed off while she is running or driving around...just on initial priming orjust on and when I turn the car off ...no fuel smell in the regulator vacuum hose no visual leaks that I can see no vacuum leaks that I can hear or does she act up when I spray starting fluid around.

Re: Fpr install question....

The regulator may be leaking past the valve disc internally and flowing back through the return hose. As long as pressure is adequate while running it should be acceptable to use it that way.
