cars driving me nuts!

I took the car out today for first time this year, it ran well only slight hesitation from the edelbrock carb, which is the accel pump linkage needed adjusted. parked the car idled good at 850-900rpm. shut car off went to startup again 5-10 min later, idles horrible at 500rpm, really crappy throttle response. tried adjusting carb idle mixture screws and they don't do anything. max I can get on vacuum is 5 bar adjusting the screws. itll rise if I raise the idle with the speed screw. shut car off, tried again and just a click from the starter. tried multiple times to start.nothing. wiggle the ignition back and forth and harder and it fires up. let car cool for 4 hours starts up fine and idles ok. thought it was ignition but not so much now since fires up first turn on key. my question is what the hell is going on with this car? I have a ford selinoid and mini starter. timing is at 14* 36* in by 3000rpm. is the carb causing my loss of vacuum? I have all new gaskets installed. im at a loss. any ideas?
