Charcoal canister filter?
Hi!
I have a Camaro 350 TPI '89 with a charcoal canister which has an open bottom. There doesn't seem to be any filter inside, is this harmful in any way? Should I buy one and put it in?
Also, I guess that outside the filter (in the bottom of the can) it should be open, not sealed?
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Per

Re: Charcoal canister filter?
By 89, I think the can should be sealed, but the car is old, so who knows what may have happened. At any rate, the following might be helpful:

Re: Charcoal canister filter?
Hi again!
Thanks for your replies! However it seems that my head was elsewhere when looking at the canister the time before last -it does have a sealed bottom! So sorry for wasting your time on this one, will try to shape up my memory.
Cheers,
