whats cross fire injection
i never hear much on the cross fire injection they had on the early 3rd gens.
Alot of people told me that the cross fires sucked and to say away from them. Infact I didnt buy a corrvette because it had a cross fire.
Are they really that bad?
How well did they perform?
Whats the difference between that and The Tpi.

Crossfire Injection is twin throttle body injection. This setup uses 2 one barrel TBs on a two piece aluminum cross ram manifold. It is true this setup is lousy from the factory. However, most people think that CFI is cursed for good and that is not true. The problems from the factory include bad computers, and poor TB, intake flow. Most CFI guys swap to later TBI computers so they can burn new chips. The manifold can be ported and polished to increase flow ( the ends of the ports must also be opened, they neck down condsiderably ), and the TBs can be bored out up to 2.09" ( I think ). CFI is essentially TBI, so many TBI tricks work for it too. I think Crossfire Injection is cool and will be swapping in a very modified setup into my 91' RS as soon as I get done tweaking it . But if you have TPI I wouldn't bother swapping in CFI, since its still only an exotic version of TBI.

I couldn't resist. (From my X-Fire Files)
This happened after I had bought a new Performer RPM.

Hehe . I'll admit, even I think that is funny. But that is one clean Crossfire setup, hope you didn't just throw it in the trash or something, someone will buy it. I would have, but I already bought my setup.
