Complications with TPI 350.

Hey guys,
I have a 1988 Camaro 350 TPI car that I have owned for about 4 years now. Its been a great car, my daily driver when there isn't snow and salt on the ground, but lately there has been issues arising that have been getting progressively worse. In the last year, its been a gamble if the car will start for me or not. Sometimes, when its cold, all I have to do is hit the key and it will fire right up, usually on one crank. Other times however, I will go and start it and it will crank for 5 seconds+ and then will sputter to life. I've checked the fuel pressure when it has done this, i don't remember the exact pressure, but I do know its above 40 psi.Its incredibly random, never does it two days in a row. I've also had it fail to start at all on two occasions, I left it sit and took my other car to work, tried it again when I got home, and it started with no issues. Any ideas?

I also have another issue, I don't know if it relates to the first issue at all, but there has been a handful of times, probably a half dozen, when I merge onto the highway and floor it, the check engine light will come on and the car will go into limp mode( I think that's what it is, its greatly reduced amount of power, and will barely go anywhere unless i have it floored). As soon as I stop and turn the car off, the light will go off and the car will act normally again. I have even tried this going down the highway, I put it into neutral and turn the car off, restart it, the light is gone and the power is restored. I've tried to read a code off of it but no code is ever stored.
