Loud clicking noise from engine

There's a loud clicking/ticking noise coming from the engine from start up. It doesn't go away when it's heated up,or when the RPMs go up. The clicking noise only speeds up as the engine speeds up. Does anyone know what this is,and how to fix it?

May be your injectors firing. Observe your injectors while the car is running, with the air cleaner off, and see if that's where it's from. Don't know of how to fix it other than swapping injectors.

It could also be the valve train, an exhaust leak, oil pan interference, and probably a few others. Is there a particular location where the noise is most evident?

It's kinda a hard to tell, but I notice it around the passenger valve cover. It's more evident when I have the air cleaner off. I noticed when I go under the car it's a lot louder. I'm not sure if that was just an echo cause it's in the garage.

We can't see inside that valve cover from out here... too dark in your garage. You'll just have to pop it off and look.

Check your spark plug wires in that area for shorts. They may be arcing on the engine. Check it in the dark and see if there's any arcing.
