Fuel problem in-tank?
My original low mileage (70k) 1992 Camaro RS 305 died one day while driving. It would start and barely run for a couple seconds at a time, enough to finally move it over off the road.
The shop tested the fuel back near the tank and said there's no pressure.
If it is supplied fuel at the throttle body it will run.
The fuel pump is working.
They say there are some rubber lines in the tank that are likey deteriorated and thus the pump is not sucking fuel.
So they say to drop the tank and address that and go ahead and replace the aged pump as well.
Sound likely?

Yep. Lines are deteriorated.
Time to drop tank and replace pump. Get a good pump, AC Delco, Delphi, or Walbro

Bob's right, time to drop the tank. be sure to clamp the hose on well and use quality hose....you do not want to do this twice.

Re: Fuel problem in-tank?
Agreed. Dropping the tank is a huge pain in the rear. I did mine this past spring and went with a Granatelli 340lph pump. (#gm-722-340)
