Part name question??

Hey guys, looking for the name of the big plastic box that sits on the firewall next to the blower motor. Mine was cracked during an engine swap, and I want to get a new one (or good used one). But can't find the name of it anywhere to even try and look. Any help is appreciated!

Next to the blower motor, or the blower motor mounts to it?

I believe they are mounted together. It's the plastic that surrounds the AC system right behind the evaporator/drier canister.

Evaporator housing

VERY eeeeeeeeeezie to fix. You might be better off just popping it off and fiberglassing it up.

Takes like SECONDS to remove... I recall one time I needed one some years ago; went to the buzzard nest and saw they were sitting on one; looked at my watch (told ya it was some years ago) and saw it was 4:55 and they closed at 5:00; before 5:00 I had it sitting on their counter. Evaporator, blower motor, and all.

Then I had to fiberglass it up ANYWAY when I discovered it had the same problem mine did, which was, the material had totally crystallized and turned to dust right above the exh manifold.

If you are looking to buy a used one, I have a few good ones. Do you need just the top part or the lower part as well? PM me if interested and include your zip code and I can get you pics, price and shipping quote.

You mean duct tape won't work?? Just kidding...

What kind of fiberglass would you recommend? I haven't tried that yet.
