89 RS with V6 tranny spec?
Hi, sorry if this is a very simple question. Does anyone know what transmission would have come with an 89 RS V6? It's a manual.... I'm looking at a parts car a ways away so I can't physically check it out but it has a standard in it I'm considering and I need to know if it will bolt up to my 91 305 auto...

That would be a T-5.
No it will not bolt up to a V8. Bell housing bolt pattern is different. If you want to do a stick swap, get one from a V8 Camaro/Firebird, which will also be a T-5, but will fit your car.
